International Ella

These two weeks have been busy with transition, and Gabriella has done her best and is starting to get acclimated to her new home.

This fourth month has brought some fun personality and developments. She has started laughing when she kisses her feet, when papa kisses her stomach, or when he splashes water in his face over and over. She has also started sharing open-mouthed, sloppy, wet kisses that are absolutely precious.

She is still as social as ever and charming the people of Buenos Aires. It's pretty much guaranteed that if Ella has a choice between sleep or people, the decision will always be people. Well, we did pray she would love people!
We also prayed she would be a flexible kid who could jump into our on-the-go lifestyle. Today she was crying without stopping, so I decided to take her for a walk simply to give Billy and our apartment-dwelling neighbors a rest. The moment I stepped outside our apartment door and into the hallway, she stopped crying. The girl loves to be on-the-go, and happily enjoyed a walk around a few blocks, exploring storefronts and smiling at strangers. I guess we must praise God for her happy, active, social spirit!

Ella is also delighted this month to have met her cousin Violeta, who is 3 and lives here in Buenos Aires. Violeta is such a good big cousin - sharing toys, chatting and playing with Gabriella. We are also excited to welcome her brand new cousin Evangelina on the Dotterweich side. What a fun family!

Enjoy these photos and the video below of her enjoying some time with Senor Elefante Filipo!
